Creating new profiles in Edge causes the browser to close

Hello,

We have just started to looking into OIB and have established a baseline that fits our needs. It is quite close to the out of the box product, with some minor adjustments here and there.

What we noticed is that creating a new profile in Edge (both personal and work profiles) makes Edge close without any warnings. Logs doesn't give us much unfortunately. I know this will be an issue if/when we deploy this to our users, so we are pausing the deployment process until this is solved. Have anyone else experienced anything like this? Hard to say what policies that might be causing this (or for all we know, it might be a buggy Edge release..). There is one OIB policy touching on blocking use of personal Microsoft accounts, which we have disabled. But this seems to happen both with and without this policy, so I assume the problem lies somewhere else.

Could you try this policy in a test group? I haven’t come across such an issue.

We have currently deployed this to around 10 pilot machines that have been testing this setup the last 3-4 weeks. Yeah, it's a strange one. Have a feeling it's a bug, rather than a policy causing this. But I have googled my eyes out trying to see if others are facing this, and I haven't seen a single example of this exact problem.

I have a suggestion for you. Could you try excluding the test device from all other rules and try again? It sounds like you're having other issues.

Can do a new deployment and exclude OIB as a whole just in case. We do have ~700 machines on the house without OIB and noone of these have this issue. Thats why I have been scratching my head a little bit :D

My suggestion is this: disable all policies on a test device. Enable only one OIB rule on that device.
