independet ip and port per wifi connection

Hi guys, is there a way to set a fixed ip and port to each quad i think it is a very important feature if you wan to control various from a GS.

i only saw how to set a external wifi http://ardupilot.org/dev/docs/skyviper.html#using-wifi-station-mode it will be awesome that you can set ip and port also there or somewhere else.

Hi peterbarker, thank you for replying. I did not see anything about setting ip or port in your link. Did i miss something?

Basicly i would like to set a custom fixed ip and port to the quad. How could i do that?

Apologies - I *thought* we already had that capability. I've looked through the source and can't see that capability at the moment. On the face of it it doesn't look hard to implement - but the code's just not where I'd expect to see it. Are you in a position to compile and run custom firmware? Hi, np thanks, as long as there is a posibility sounds good. Yes i, ll adventure to try to compile the firmware if it is the eay to go for now. if you help me out with some steps to follow.

OK, try to compile the stock firmware and get back to me when you've done that :-) *Please* bare in mind that while it is difficult to make your SkyViper unrecoverable you can make it very, very difficult to do so! hi i was trying to build the firmware on windows 10 pro , but i failed so tried in ubuntu with great help and finally got it .

the missing steps where :

install pymavlink https://github.com/ArduPilot/pymavlink
and in fresh Linux install
sudo apt-get install libc6:i386
sudo apt-get install zlib1g:i386
sudo apt-get install libencode-detect-perl
sudo apt-get install libdigest-crc-perl

I,m ready for next steps to find out how to have set fixed ip and fixed wifi station mode ;D
