Description
Hello,
According to the instructions I tried to set up legacy power management on my 8570w with i7-3740QM CPU running Sonoma as turbo boost was not working for me with default config.plist.
Unfortunately, after:
- enabling AppleIntelCPUPowerManagement and AppleIntelCPUPowerManagementClient kexts,
- disabling SSDT-PLUG,
- enabling SSDT-PM aml file generated for my CPU with ssdtPRGen.sh,
- disabling AppleXcpmCfgLock,
- enabling AppleCpuPmLock,
I'm not able to boot the OS anymore. I get messages about the stall of X86PlatformPlugin (so it appears the OS still tries to use XCPM I suppose?) and after a few minutes the boot process ends with a kernel panic.
Is legacy power management confirmed to work for Sonoma or newer? Any ideas how to fix it?
