need your help

hi guys,

I am really new to GitHub and to the downloaded codes.  I have never used this site before. Can anyone there help me;
a. how to look at the help file?
b. how to compile the file and run the sample?
I am proficient with C++ and Visual Studio 2012 or other versions. Just need someone to kick me and get me starting.
