Any design feedback for a XDG portal backend I'm building?

I'm building a Smithay-based compositor and need XDG Desktop Portal support (RemoteDesktop, ScreenCast, Clipboard). I develop lamco-rdp-server, a commercial RDP server that works via portal APIs and others.

I'm happy to submit this here or produce as a separate crate. Thoughts?
Is anyone else working on this?
I'm presuming a trait-based integration approach.

Any feedback or ideas would be appreciated.
