Problem description:

When ANY failure happens within the SonarQube operation, the error status is NEVER reported to the calling context / shell. This means that the pysonar-scanner CLI tool always returns a successful result. This makes it impossible to detect failures at runtime.

Solution:
Ensure the return code from the scan() method is properly reported to the shell.

Thanks for taking the time to use our scanner and providing feedback.
There is indeed a bug, I have created SCANPY-171 to track this issue.
We will make sure that the fix is included in the next release.

We have implemented the ticket corresponding to your suggestion : #227
We did an implementation very similar to what you suggested ;)
