Also Feature Manager. It offers similar functionality to MSI Center, but is less bloated and uses fewer resources. I used it until I switched to YAMDCC. It could be a good option for someone looking for a lighter alternative. Download Feature Manager_1.0.2403.0801.zip |

I installed Feature Manager having removed MSI Center but it is unable to monitor anything. Sometimes it does show fan speeds but mostly it's just like this |

Neither MSI Center or Yamdcc or Feature Manager is perfect. For me MSI Center works great when playing games its manage CPU/GPU Power and Fan Speed perfecty. When browsing web nothing is better then Yamdcc. Didnt use Feature Manager that much becouse after few days of testing i get higher GPU temps in games comparing to MSI Center. You have to test all 3 software and most important test all version of MSI Center, not always newest version is better. |

i just realised I never commented on this discussion lol Anyways, you're not the first person to let me know of Feature Manager, surprisingly (see this PR comment). Unless someone REs the RGB keyboard driver/protocol themselves or I get an MSI laptop with an RGB keyboard (unlikely, since my current laptop is built like garbage and thermal throttles when running Prime95 on one core after a thorough clean), I won't be implementing RGB keyboard support in YAMDCC. Maybe someone can write a plugin for YAMDCC once that feature finally arrives. |

Tested both and YAMDCC is way better for GPU/CPU temps, somehow its use profiles corectly at least with my MSI laptop |

Both have the same functions (and the official MSI Center too). I have no clue why you have a difference in temperatures. I think it only depends on your fan curve preset. And definitely yes, nothing is better than YAMDCC for Windows for now. |

He possibly configured a different fan profile, or used the default fan profile included with a generic config, which had more aggressive settings than his laptop? |

In YAMDCC i use default Silent profile (modified down fan value for much silent) and this gives me 1700-2400rpm GPU 75C, Windows idle CPU 55C 1500rpm, MSI Center silent profile gaming GPU 2400rpm 75C, Windows idle i have 2400rpm CPU 55C, Feature Manager default silent profile in game GPU 80-83C 3400rpm, Windows idle 55C 1800rpm. Right now i have instaled both YAMDCC and MSI Center, when game open MSI Center starts using silent profile limit GPU CPU i play at 2400rpm temps stays below 75C, when exit game in Windows YAMDCC runs making laptop silent with 1500rpm and 50-55C CPU Tested with Infinity Nikki Ray Tracing ON, Windows 10, MSI GE77 12gen 3080ti. |

YAMDCC doesn't yet control RGB keyboards.
There's a Turkish MSI sub-vendor, GameGaraj, that provides a less bloated version of MSI Center known as Feature Manager. This is because Turkish law restricts the data collection that MSI Center performs.
They also have a configuration utility for RGB keyboards.
For those who want to get rid of MSI bloatware (MSI Center) but keep RGB control, here's the utility:
