Terminal: Select some text and paste it once with middle mouse button [on Windows] #781

This is a quick shortcut that I use often. Can you bring it back? It doesn’t conflict with the clipboard, because it only pastes once and doesn’t use the clipboard. Let me explain: I use a package manager to install a package, and after installation a message appears with a command I need to run manually. I select the text as usual and press the middle mouse button (anywhere on the screen) to paste it directly into the prompt. This shortcut is very useful to me. P/S: I added “as usual” to make it clear that it’s just the normal way of selecting text. Please don’t misunderstand that I use the middle mouse button to select the text! |

Sounds good, if there's a selection in the terminal buffer it will use that, otherwise fallback to the clipboard (this is for OSes with no primary selection). Changed the behavior. |
