No, nothing can be done, ecode is a single process application, I don't plan to change that.

My original intent was to suggest something like the plugin‑container process in legacy Firefox. It won’t make your application fully multi‑process, but it’s a minimal change that prevents a plugin crash from also crashing the whole application. However, given your comment, I know this idea is dismissed.

I know the plugins system is so integrated into the application that this won’t work without major refactoring. However, you could consider my idea of sandboxing plugins by compiling them into WebAssembly and running them in a WASM runtime if you ever revisit this in the future.
