Is there a way to cancel the import in between?

Similar to #2302 Can we cancel an ongoing import in the library? For instance, if a user starts an import but wants to cancel midway, can we check and handle the cancellation? I couldn't find information in the documentation, so I'm asking for clarification. Thanks.
