qr code wordt vaak niet gelezen.

Hi,

I have an issue reading QR codes on medicine packages. I am using version 3.10 but the QR codes are still not read. No issues with barcodes.
Attached two examples.

HiThese are not QR codes. Do you mean that data-matrix cannot be scanned with this ZXing implementation?
What would be your suggestion in scanning these codes?

That is strange. I can create with TScanManager.Create(TBarcodeFormat.DATA_MATRIX, nil);
That obviously does not work indeed. Rewriting this is way above my pay-grade :)

Do you know of any other Delphi library that is able to scan these images?

I have to be more specific. I was too much in a hurry. Sorry. It does support Datamatrix but only with centred images. The images you provided were not with centered datamatrix. For which platform are you developing ?

I have a Delphi Android app that is used by a very small company for counting inventory in pharmacies. They scan the barcodes and QR codes on the boxes and give in the number of complete boxes and loose pils they can find on shelf. The app communicates via datasnap to a Delphi Windows application that keeps track of all medicine in stock.

Recently more and more distributors are changing from barcode to the data matrix code as shown in my example. I did a lot of searching on the web, but I cannot seem to find a solution for my issue.

Ok you can do two things: - In your app make a visor in the center so the user needs to get the DataMatrix code in the center, OR - Use the vision lib that google provides via Kastri (https://github.com/DelphiWorlds/Kastri/tree/master/Demos/BarcodeReader). These days this vision lib works locally nice for Android. It’s not difficult but you need to follow the instructions regarding 32 and 64 bit. Kastri supports Delphi 11.3 and 12.
