Termois Error when programming using SerialUPDI

Hi,
I have been using megaTinyCore to program a custom ATtiny414 dev board using serialUPDI, it worked orginally, however just recently I started getting consistent termios errors which prevent programming. I have moved back to arduino 1.8.13 and megaTinyCore 2.6.10 on my mac and am unable to get programming to work again. I attached a screenshot of the error message, and I would appreciate any help I could get as this is for a school project?
