It's in the github version of the core only.

It adds a new tools sub-menu that lets you select which pins will have PWM on them. Particularly on the 1-series, I would really like to hear from some independent testers that this actually works before it goes into a release.

This is the mTC consolation prize, since the more complicated pin mapping options and more constrained resources preclude an auto-detecting mechanism like DxCore has.

I just saw this post and decided to test it on a 412.

Test sketch

The first two options for the 412 work fine, but on any pin I try I get the same compilation error for the "flash hog"

I tried on both the Boardmanager and Github version with the same result.

The first 3 options work as expected, but this option

only PB3 (the x04 have no PB4 nor PB5) works a, but PA3-5 do nothing

The last 2 options will just get you one pin PB3 on the x04. That is of limited use, but they work as described.

Then I tried for a 1614 with the same test sketch.

This should be fixed now. It was sliding through CI because CI wasnt able to test many of the options.
