VERY low quality texture exports

For some reason the exporter is exporting only the lowest quality version of the creation's textures. These textures at least seem to have been baked at a higher quality in the editor or in the viewer (which was opened before exporting, as per instruction).
All settings are set to high, highrestexturelevel is set to high, and even mods/tweaks to combat this issue have been installed/performed.
I realise now this isn't a complexity concern either, as even the simplest creations also have a loss in texture quality.
