spotx virus detected?

its never happened before but now when i try to run/install spotx it says its a virus and deletes it along with virus total says that the content in the files are malware id like to know if this is an error or if its true

It has been discussed to death in other threads and is, by all indication, a false positive as is common with software in the vein. Of course there is no way to be certain beyond a doubt, but I like many others believe it be nothing of concern.

Yes, that's called a false positive. Defender and other AV will flag this kind of file to the nature of its function. When you pirate a video game and your AV flags the crack is that a virus?

find at least one line of code related to this trojan (in case you didn't know, all the code is open in this repo). You have exactly 24 hours. If you provide it by this time tomorrow, I will delete spotx. If not, you will be blocked from this organization and all my other repos forever

I find it very funny i came back to this thread just to see this going on thank you for responding to my issue i love spotx however its crazy to see someone trying to claim that theres a virus when its open source im not good with code which is why i asked in the first place but shadowfury seems lost lol
