Hubspot is migrating to use of Personal Access Keys for API access. Current integration may use legacy developer API keys?

Using Personal Access Key I get error with a brand new key

Updated HubSpot Connector for Private App Authentication ✅

I've successfully updated the HubSpot connector to work properly with Private App authentication and provide better error messages for authentication issues.

Tasks Completed:

• Find and examine the current HubSpot connector implementation
• Research HubSpot Personal Access Key authentication requirements
• Update authentication mechanism in the connector
• Update schemas and error handling
• Test and lint the changes
• Commit and push changes

Changes Made:

Root Cause Identified: The issue wasn't with the connector code itself (which was already correctly using Authorization: Bearer headers), but rather confusion about which type of authentication token to use.

Key Findings:

• HubSpot API Keys are deprecated (sunset November 30, 2022)
• Personal Access Keys are only for local development tools, not API integrations
• Private Apps are the correct authentication method for API integrations

Updates:

1. Enhanced credential description - Now clearly states to use Private App access tokens and warns against Personal Access Keys
2. Improved 401 error handling - Provides specific guidance when authentication fails
3. Better error messages - Help users understand they need Private App tokens, not Personal Access Keys or deprecated API keys

Instructions for Users:

To fix the authentication issue:

1. Go to Settings > Integrations > Private Apps in your HubSpot account
2. Create a new Private App or use an existing one
3. Copy the access token from the Private App
4. Use this access token (not a Personal Access Key) in the connector

The connector now uses Private App authentication and will provide clear error messages if the wrong type of token is used.
