[bug]: Menu sidebar covers page elements

Current Behavior

Side menu covers page elements when webpage first loads.

Expected Behavior

Side menu should not cover page elements.

Steps to Reproduce

1. Launch service
2. Side menu covers page elements
3. Opening and closing the side menu fixes the issue

I think this only happens on page refresh, but I believe it happens every time.
