Slovenian sky culture language

Hi, in Stellarium 24 it was possible to set the sky culture language to Slovenian in the Configuration window -> Main tab -> Language settings. In Stellarium 25 this option is not available anymore, and there is no "Slovenian sky culture" option in the Sky and viewing options window -> Sky culture. Therefore, is the Slovenian sky culture not available anymore in the newest Stellarium version? Note I do not wish to have the whole Stellarium application in the Slovenian language, just the sky culture names.

I do have Slovenščina in the Language box in Stellarium 25.3.

I don't think there has ever been an official Slovenian SC. Maybe you had it installed separately?

Or you might have been using the Modern SC, just had translated names. To get this you need to check the "translation" checkboxes in the SC tab of the View dialog. This will depend on the completeness of the Slovenian translation though.

I do as well, but I wish to keep the application language in English, since it's easier to search the internet for references / troubleshooting if the menus and options are in English.

There's no way anymore. Only one language option is available for both the GUI and the SCs.

We assume users are running the program in their language. The technical stunt to allow a different language for the skyculture is no longer available, given the many translation and label options that allow both native names and user language translation.

In your particular use case, make a copy of modern and replace the native names by Slovenian strings. 88 edits for you.

(EDIT: Indeed, a bit more, as you must rename the SC and replace the SC name in all constellation an asterism names.)

Just one more followup question, how do I pull the Slovenian names from Stellarium's localization files? I found /usr/share/stellarium/translations/stellarium-skycultures/*.qm files but they are binary.

You need the sl.po file for this (downloadable from GitHub here).
