I concur that there is a conflict between Stellarium and the settings on my new Windows 11 computer. The conflict is very bizarre, and I would appreciate suggestions as to resolving it. If I start Stellarium and try to change the date/time hour to 8, Stellarium either directly or using the up/down arrows from 7 or 9, Stellarium disappears. However, if I open Stellarium and search on the Lobster Claw Nebula, I can then change the hour number to 8 and it works fine, and then I can search on other nebulae and then the hour 8 also works. I tried searching first on a different nebula, Jellyfish, after starting Stellarium, and this time the hour 8 problem happened again. I haven't tried other nebulae to see which ones work. So I know that something between Stellarium and my new Windows 11 PC is in conflict, as I never had this problem using Stellarium on my old Windows 7 PC. I tried another test a short time ago. Stellarium is set to start using the current local date and time, so I tried opening Stellarium at 08:10. The Stellarium logo screen came up, I could see data was being loaded, and then poof!, Stellarium disappeared again before fully starting. So there definitely is a conflict between Stellarium and my Windows 11 PC when the hour setting is 8. |

Have been using Stellarium for a few years on my Windows 7 PC, and just upgraded to a Windows 11 PC. At first, every time I started to launch Stellarium, the opening logo screen would showing various things loading, and then the program would disappear. I tried loading and installing both Windows versions with the same result. Now, Stellarium opens, but when I open the date/time window, the program disappears if I enter an 8 into the hour box, or try to down up from 7 or down from 9 in the hour box. Haven't a clue what is causing this. Also, after that gets solved, I'd like to be able to see an objects hour angle in +/- from 0 (due south) rather than 0 to 24 if that is possible. Thanks.
