Viewport Display Color auto matching Material colorScale

Would it be possible for the Viewport Display Color to auto-match the Material colorScale color?
I'm using the I3D Material Visualizer. I just created a new material for the cube but have not manually updated the SOLID Viewport Display Color like the other object.
