This is a big idea, proposed in a Reddit comment. What if we just had a Paypal (or, preferrably, Stripe)- powered donate button where commoners could contribute to our team? We could create more finely grained rewards below $50 (Kickstarter-like), sending people T-shirts or signed pictures or else for their contributions,
