A shortcut for adding quotation marks ("text") around selected area

I have to do this far too often for there to not be an easier way.

A simple, like, Alt + q would be a hell of a lot better than precision clicking on ends of text
and moving my left hand all the way to the right end of my keyboard to shift + ' for a quotation mark.

Should also definitely ignore empty space on ends of selection,
e.g. if selection is " word word word " it should instead do "word word word"

Go to Settings->Tools. In the Misc section, set the custom characters to ". Then set up a keyboard shortcut in Shurtcuts - Toggle custom tags (surround with).
