API Performance Feedback

I would like to start this discussion to solicit your feedback and insight, based on your experience, and share API and Scripting performance-related information - both good and bad. For example, we know that the first CRMScript example (concatenate a string) takes a little more than 2 seconds, while the second CRMScript example (using append) only takes .02 seconds.

Example One

#setLanguageLevel 3;

String str = "Some text string for testing purposes, ";
String conCat;
Timer timer; timer.start();

for(Integer i = 0; i < 10001; i++)
{
	conCat += str;  
}

timer.stop();

Example Two

#setLanguageLevel 3;

String str = "Some text string for testing purposes, ";
String conCat;
Timer timer; timer.start();

for(Integer i = 0; i < 10001; i++)
{
    conCat.append(str);  
}

timer.stop();

What else do you know, and are willing to share, that we can add to improve the documentation?

It doesn't have to be just about CRMScript, it can be NetServer, web services, DatabaseMirroring, you name it, as long as it pertains to the SuperOffice API's and Service CRMScript engine.
