Browsing files in SciCat

With either Rod or chromedp it's easy to automate a browser to input certain values. However at the point where we need to browse files, these need to be retrieved to a local directory.

PSI SciCat Archiver now doesn't allow retrieving only certain files.

SciCat does allow you to get the list of files (via OrigDataBlock).

For the case where OneDep gets triggered from a derived dataset, this would have to be triggered as a special kind of retrieve job which makes the files available to the uploader. Thus the file browsing could happen server-side after retrieval.
