We decided to store tasks in local storage to ship the
/dayview beta quicker. We haven't prioritized moving tasks to the Compass cloud DB, because it's not clear if anyone cares whether they're backed up there or not.
Currently, tasks are pretty simple: there aren't sub-tasks, notes, notifications.
Because of this simplicity, setting up a task is pretty quick.
Since they're scoped to the day, they're also short-lived (unless you keep migrating them forward every day).
In my head, I think it's fine to keep it like this for now. However, I want to hear from you if you see things differently.
Does the fact that tasks aren't backed up deter you from using them?
