How can we keep your fingers on the keyboard?

We want Compass to be the best place to manage your tasks and events.

One big aspect of delivering on that is to make it keyboard-driven, so that users can do what they need to fast.

We're currently doing just the basics:

• A simple command palette (CMD+K)
• A shortcut overlay
• Basic shortcuts for common behaviors

However, we're exploring other ways to make Compass even easier to use with your keys, including

• Allow users to fully customize all keyboard shortcuts #1368
• Shortcut education popup with list of keyboard shortcuts (grouped by context) to educate users #1283
• Flashing shortcuts. For example, holding down f would reveal all the available shortcut hints next to their elements.
• Creating our own cmd palette so that it has deeper context into your data
• Updating the onboarding to build the habit of using the shortcuts immediatly

What else could we do to make Compass easier to use with your keyboard?
