Nothing happens when typing `m` or `w` when the sidebar is closed

Local code with an up-to-date main branch

Expected Behavior

1. Close sidebar
2. Press W or M
3. Sidebar opens and the draft is displayed in the correct section, with the form open

Current Behavior

Nothing happens when using the shortcut while sidebar is closed

Steps to Reproduce

1. Close sidebar
2. Press W or M
3. Notice: Nothing happens until opening the sidebar

Reopening. The previously linked PR helps fix the shortcuts in general, but it doesn't address this bug.
