Contribution Guidelines

Please note that this project is released with a Contributor Code of Conduct. By participating in this project you agree to abide by its terms.

PRs

ALWAYS create a new branch with your proposed changes. Try to make the branch name in a type/title format, e.g.: newitem/mytlptool or style/mytoolspelling. Descriptive branch names and PR titles help us keep things clean! Thank you!

Adding an new Item

  • Try to fit your item into an existing sections and categories. Open a suggestion to start as discussion about any new sections or categories.
    • Existing categories include:
      • 📃 = :page_with_curl: = paper
      • 🖥️ = :desktop_computer: = software tool
      • 🗄️ = :file_cabinet: = dataset
      • 🏷️ = :label: = model
      • 📘 = :blue_book: = standard
      • 🔌 = :electric_plug: = library
  • Add a new item to the bottom of the list in a section.
  • If a duplicate item exists, discuss why the new item should replace it.
  • Check your spelling & grammar.
  • The item must follow this format: 
    - :category: [item name](https link) - Description beginning with capital, ending in period.
