[Bug]: App becomes unresponsive with large number of tags #1286

Description
If I select 120 images and add a tag to them, this operation completes in around 5 seconds.
This seems a little slow but whatever.
If I select 140 images and add a tag to them, the app becomes unresponsive and I have to kill it. I waited 2 minutes for everything to finish.
Edit: there's no hard limit on the number of tags to create a long slowdown. I just added a tag to 50 images and it took 30 seconds. I tried again with 60 tags and it became unresponsive but eventually recovered.
I can add more information as appropriate.
The cli only prints:

Expected Behavior
The app should respond to user input.
Steps to Reproduce
Not sure.
- Get a Linux Mint 22.2 device.
- have the library on an external HDD? maybe the slow write speed is responsible?
- Select 200 or 300 items and try to add a tag to all of them
