Is there a way to automatically adjust the loudness of songs to make all equally loud? #1732

I have playlists with songs from different sources, and they have all varying levels of overall volume. Some songs are very quiet, some are rather loud. So I often have to manually adjust the playback volume for a good listening experience. Is there an option to automatically detect these quiet and loud songs, and amp them up or down? Basically something like YouTube's stable volume feature. If I set tauon to 50% volume, then I want all songs to roughly have the same perceived loudness. Also, I don't mean to auto adjust the song on a moment to moment basis. E.g. if a song fades out at the end, it shouldn't counteract that fade out. So the adjustment should either be for the whole song or for large windows of it (1~3 mins). |

It's called ReplayGain, and Tauon does have support for it. Your tracks/albums need to have the value for it set to be in effect, I believe RG is automatically enabled by default in Tauon. |
