It will supposedly become mandatory in July 2026 at the earliest, but it is already causing problems that Firefox 115.13.x-115.30.x will be affected, and this group of users will have problems with installation. In Firefox 115.31.0 RC1, the severity of the error has been reduced and installation is now possible.

Rapid releases 116-127 (and probably the same for 78-115.12.x) have long been cut off from add-ons due to the requirement to manually update the main/root certificate or other workarounds for this mess, but they will behave similarly.

Theoretically, it is worth making a draft so that you don't have to rush to write corrections fordata_collection_permissions to fix July bugs or zero-day vulnerabilities.

I've seen all the issue reports at uBlockOrigin and decided to wait a bit... ;-)
