Hello, I'm trying to understand why error is caught and then wrapped in setTimeout and re-thrown.

What is the purpose of setTimeout?

function scheduleMicrotask(callback) {
  Promise.resolve().then(callback).catch(function (error) {
    return setTimeout(function () {
      throw error;
    });
  });
}
