React Query Prefetch does not start

HI, I have this piece of code that was working perfectly until today

const prefetchNFTrees = async () => {
    console.log('FETCH START')
    await queryClient.prefetchQuery({
      queryKey: ['nftrees'],
      queryFn: async () => {
        console.log('QUERY KICKED');
        setIsLoadingNftTrees(true)
        const data = await fetchNftInfo(_progress => setProgressNftTrees(_progress));
        // console.log('data', data.length);
        setFilteredNftTrees(data);
        setNftTrees(data);
        setIsLoadingNftTrees(false)
        return data;
      },
      placeholderData: [],
    });
    console.log('FETCH END')
  };

  useEffect(() => {
    prefetchNFTrees();
  // eslint-disable-next-line react-hooks/exhaustive-deps
  },[]);

In this moment the prefetchQuery does not seem to start at all, I don't understand why.

The console in the browser only reports "FETCH START" and nothing more.

Am i missing something? Thanks
