angular - computed signal on query.data() does not fire inside a Component

When I write the following

current = []
sd = computed( () => {
   if (injectedQueryName.data()) {
        current =  injectedQueryName.data()
  }
  return current;
}) 

This does not fire inside a component. An effect fires fine.
It does fire inside a normal class.

I also tried adding in there .isLoading(), isPending() and all other signals to trigger the computed. It is not triggered.

Any idea why this happens?
