Long text in a TD shifts entire row on hover

Hey guys, so on hover of a particular table row, I apply a border-left CSS property, but when the subsequent table col data (TD) is too long, it shifts the entire table to a couple of pixels which looks off as per UX.

Any help will be appreciated, thanks!!!
