React Developer Tools extension in Firefox breaks features

I was searching for ages until I found out that the React Developer Tools extension seems to be messing with some react-table features. Everything is fine as long as I don't open the web developer tools / dock with console. If I do that AND the react developer tools extension is installed at least the following things stop working

• grouping via getGroupByToggleProps or manually calling e.g. toggleGroupBy
• expanding via getToggleRowExpandedProps or manually calling e.g. toggleRowExpanded or toggleAllRowsExpanded

I guess there is more that fails, very odd. I don't see anything in the console and it all works if the developer tools are never opened or that extension is not installed.

I'm currently using Firefox 93, React 16.13.1 (bundled with WP) and React Developer Tools 4.19.2.
UPDATE: This could be also related to the fact that we use react-table via WordPress plugin and the bundled WordPress react. If I use the same stuff in a dedicated html file without any WP it seems to work 🤷‍♂️

This is NOT a bugreport, just wanted to mention this in case other people have the same problems. Maybe somebody knows what is going on, where to report this or how to debug.
