Strongly typed column filters

Currently columnFilters are typed as follows:

declare type FiltersTableState = {
    columnFilters: ColumnFiltersState;
    globalFilter: any;
};
declare type ColumnFiltersState = ColumnFilter[];
declare type ColumnFilter = {
    id: string;
    value: unknown;
};

Are there any strategies to improve type-safety of value or globalFilter?

When having filter as union type like:

type CustomFilter = { id: 'fav', value: boolean } | { id: 'asset' value: 'Asset 1' | 'Asset 2' }

I would love to somehow make table aware of this so it's for example derrived in filterFn in ColumnDef or in table.getState().columnFilters

I know it's a heavy request, but maybe there are some strategies around that that we could use today.

Current workaround for us was to table.getState().columnFilters as CustomFilter[] when passing it as props and

filterFn: (row, columnId, value: Extract<CustomFilter[], { id: "asset"}>["value"])
