How to load table with already selected rows?

I'm trying to load a table with some of the rows already selected. I'm trying to use setRowSelection and it's partially working. The event emitted for the selected rows have the ones I'm pre selecting, but the table doesn't show them as checked. And if I check the ones I pre selected, the event emitted won't have them
