Wasting space + unneeded animations

Icons make the space waste which I intended to show on the screenshot.

Second issue is animation of opening the folder like unwinding it down. It cannot be disabled, but looks like wasting time and totally unneeded for me.

Please make size of the icon configurable and animation optional.

The space issue is because the list item needs a minimum height to be clickable in all devices. I think this was in the material design guidelines and as such will not be changed.

The animation can be disabled by disabling all animations in the phone.

@rafnov I think something is wrong with your theme too. the circles you made contains text with more info (which got hidden because of the color issue).

That green theme is one of the default ones. I've disabled all excessive info about items so it can't be the cause of wasted space because icon size. I would like to understand the minimum required item size on the list, but I would like have them smaller too - is there really no way to configure them size?
I have all animations disabled in my systems, incl. the animation scales in developer options. List of items still animates when opening location (wasting time).

the list item size & slight animations are implemented by us (amaze) itself. we used material standards & conventions to choose the default behaviour, dimensions etc -- we haven't made them configurable by the user since most of the users wouldn't want to use this + we don't want to fatigue a user with too many settings options. but yeah, I understand your concern; thanks for reaching out to us with your feedback. I think this might be something we can have as an obscure setting option just for this small population -- only if some community member voluteers to work on this; we maintainers wouldn't work on this most probably.

I think we can reopen this along with a "low-priority" badge? @EmmanuelMess what do you think?

I wouldn't consider reopening, for the reasons I stated.
