Can't open pictures/videos from smb server.

Describe the bug

Hi, i recently am in the process of switching from material files to amaze since it seems marerial files isn't really actively maintained anymore.

I need a filebrowser that can acces my smb server, hence trying amaze.
However, once i try to open any picture or video, it can't by showed by eitther Grapheneos gallery (aosp gallery), fossify gallery, vlc, etc...
Contrary to material files, where this does actually work. Is this is bug or a feature not yet implemented?

Also, not specifically related to this issue, but for the user there is no indication with a notification of file transfer progress when copying files from phone to smb server or vice versa (despite notification permissions allowed). Also te see if a fille is actually trasfered a manual refresh is needed in the related folder. These are all option available on material files and i'm curious if this is a bug of some sort, perhaps related to stricter permissions on Grapheneos, or if these features aren't implemented (yet)?

To Reproduce

1. Go to smb share
2. Click on any picture/video
3. Choose any option which could display these formats
4. See balck screen

Expected behavior

Just like in material files, showing the image/video in any app that could show those formats (for example fossify gallery)

hi @Alifoss thanks for reaching out. we are looking into it. I dont have an SMB device to test, @EmmanuelMess can you please take a look here? is this a bug or have we not implemented the intent for opening in extrenal app?

Perhaps not relevant but for whats its worth, for example thumbnails of respective pictures are being loaded/displayed. I can copy a picture from smb to local storage, and then open it in any app that supports the format. I just can't directly view from within smb share the picture with any app that supports given format.
