What is/are your question(s)?

A wonderfully designed app. My suggestion would be to implement a default favorites list and adding a "add to favorites" to the pop up menu when selecting tracks. This makes it easy to maintain a group of our current favorite songs that can be changed at any time without creating playlists for everything. I know using a playlist would work. Difference is this would avoid the extra steps involved in selecting a playlist. Quicker adding to a default favorites that shouldn't need to be selected among a long list of custom playlists. Just click the top left menu and go straight to Favorites, kinda like going to history. Thanks.
