Why only 360p? No other quality option.

What is/are your question(s)?

I only have one option when it comes to video quality: 360p.

I have tried similar app: PipePipe. There I have all options: 1080p, 720p, 480p etc.

I am also facing same issue. Unable to play other than 360p format. How can find a solution.

Wait for the developers to fix it. You can support them in the meantime, for example by contributing code or donating money.

Agreed. Must be fixed and yes -again- this can and will take a few days. But a comment of the developers about the problem would be a fine option meanwhile. Watching NewPipe on a modern HD device in 360p is like a trip to 2003.

As it is no-longer possible to add comments to ticket #12126 , might I make a handful of suggestions:

1. When there is a major, known-issue, perhaps the "New Issue" template should get updated to say "Do NOT log a ticket if your issue relates to any of the following, as we are already aware of them:", and then have a list? (And, in addition: perhaps a future-version of the app could add a feature where a message could appear when launching the app to advise of current known-issues?)
2. Will a 0.27.7 minor-update to the app be released any-time soon to at-least stop the "Sorry, something went wrong" error from appearing on nearly every-video? Obviously you will get an influx of reports at times the app is actively telling a lot of users to report!
3. I tried to workaround this issue by going to Menu > Settings > Video and Audio and then setting all of the first three settings which relate to default-resolution to 360p; I still get the error though. I'd have thought as a workaround this might stop it. 🤷🏻‍♂️
4. Within the Settings for the app, maybe add an "Advanced" category and in there have "Do not tell me when the app encounters an error" so people can then check that option to stop seeing all error-messages?
