Steps to reproduce the bug
- Go to the settings menu
Expected behavior
I hope to find all the settings that relate to "does this thing continue to play back content, once I restart the device" at one place.
It is very understandable, why 'retain playback position' is currently in the history section.
Still, I want you to consider this (imho very common) thought pattern, from an UX perspective:
I want that the content that I play, retains the playback position, and doesn't just play it.
I find part of these settings in the audio/video settings, as I would expect it.
Another part is here:
It doesn't help, that the text of the last option shown here is straight up lying:
It doesn't decide if the playback is resumed, although it claims to do so.
At least that one is a bug, in my opinion. Again, I also understand why this option is in the history section.
I just think it still belongs into the audio/video category, grouped with these other options, shown in the top screenshot.
