French translations possibly inaccurate (maybe just dialects)

As a native metropolitan french speaker, the french translations read a bit weird. e.g.

Cela peut et cause des temps d'arrêt

Translated to english, this reads:

This may and causes downtime

(which doesn't make sense) Compared to original

This can and does cause downtime

I would rather have put there

Cela peut causer et cause des temps d'arrêt

@leblancfg (as the person who approved them): Should these translations be changed, or are these just france french vs québec french differences?
If it's just dialect differences, perhaps the current one could be moved to fr-qc or fr-ca (don't know which is more appropriate)? Or perhaps a new metropolitan french translation (which I would be ready to make) should go to fr-FR?
