Thanks for the post. The minimum update interval is 1 hour which is deliberately designed that way so as to prevent frequently checking for the block lists as most of these block lists are free and it would not be good if people configure to hit their web servers every minute causing kind of DoS attack on their web servers. These lists are also not very frequently updated so setting it to update every 1 hour works well pretty well. |

I was thinking of a way to schedule it to one or more times in hours, even minutes maybe, and check for updates as early as possible if the scheduled check fails for some reason such as Technitium DNS Server not running or the source being unavailable. This could prevent users of filterlists that are updated on certain hours, such as HaGeZi's, from using lists that are outdated by up to an hour.
It would also be another reason to prefer Technitium over other alternatives such as AdGuard Home or Pi-hole.
