HSTS error with SPLIT DNS

Once In a while I get an HSTS error when accessing any domain that I have setup with SPLIT DNS.

My current workaround is to press SHIFT+CTRL+R for the page to load, but I was wondering what's the cause of it and it's there's a permanent fix.

Thanks for asking. This is really not related to DNS as HSTS is browser technology. It depends on how you have setup Split DNS and for which domain names and how you have setup the local web server for them. Let me know these details.

The error message says that there is a domain name mismatch in the cert but the cert looks ok since it has a wildcard for the domain. Not really sure what could be the issue here. Need to check the cert in details.

When I force restart with SHIFT+CTRL+R the webpage will load without any problems and in cert details the cert is the same

Looks really strange. Does this happen with other web browsers too? Give a try to a couple of other browsers and see if they too have this issue.

It does happens with other browsers and mozilla thunderbird.

I am not really sure what could be the issue here. May be try to post this on Bugzilla and see what they have to say.
