contao: template override fails

Salut TechnoGate :-)

I just now wanted to try out your contao gem because I find it a very cool idea! Although I'm new to ruby, rails and so on I'm generally a quick learner. I followed your instructions on GitHub. The installation goes smoothly but when I do:

contao new /path/to/the_new_project

I get an error where contao tries to generate the template-override:

fatal: https://github.com/qzminski/contao-template-override.git/info/refs not found: did you run git update-server-info on the server?
Clone of 'https://github.com/qzminski/contao-template-override.git' into submodule path 'contao/core/system/modules/template-override' failed
...

Could it be, that the submodule template-override has to be replaced/relinked with this one?
