Since an image is worth a thousand words:

Two things jump out at me here:

  1. test_pipeline.py has the progress bar jump to nearly full, long before the whole suite is done
  2. At the end, we are at least 4 notches past the end of the progress bar.

I don't know which of these things will matter, but there you go:

$ uv run pytest --md-report
Test session starts (platform: darwin, Python 3.13.0, pytest 8.3.2, pytest-sugar 1.0.0)
django: version: 5.1, settings: nomnom.test_settings (from ini)
rootdir: /Users/offby1/projects/worldcon/nomnom
configfile: pyproject.toml
plugins: sugar-1.0.0, cov-4.1.0, django-test-plus-2.2.4, django-4.7.0, md-report-0.6.3, Faker-35.2.0, xdist-3.5.0, lazy-fixtures-1.0.7

Terminal: iTerm2
OS: macOS
Shell: fish
Font: MonoLisa, with ligatures enabled
