Request for model enhancement: Coverage of vascular cells (Pericytes) in Human_AdultAged_Hippocampus model

Hi celltypist Team,

I am a student working on reproducing scRNA-seq results from MS brain datasets (e.g., PRJNA544731).

While using the Human_AdultAged_Hippocampus.pkl model, I noticed that certain vascular-related cell types, specifically Pericytes and Vascular Smooth Muscle Cells, are not covered in the current model's vocabulary. This leads to a significant drop in Macro F1-score when evaluating datasets that contain these cell types.

I have found that mapping these cells to Endothelial serves as a temporary workaround, but a dedicated category would be much more accurate for brain-related studies.

1. Are there any plans to update this model with broader vascular coverage?
