Description

Telegram crashes when I open one specific channel. If I first clear Telegram cache and enable Airplane Mode, I can open and scroll the channel normally. After turning Airplane Mode off inside the channel and scrolling near a particular message, the app crashes again. Repro is consistent. App crash report is here:

Telegram-2025-12-08-174122.ips.json

Expected Behavior

App doesn't crash

Actual Behavior

App crashes when I open the channel or (if cache is cleared) scroll closer to the problematic channel message.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Open the affected channel online → app may crash immediately or after a short scroll.
  2. Workaround: Settings → Data & Storage → Clear Cache, then enable Airplane Mode.
  3. Open the same channel offline → can scroll through text without a crash.
  4. Turn Airplane Mode off while in the channel and scroll towards the previously problematic message → crash.
  • Whether it crashes immediately depends on how close the viewport is to the problematic message; nearing it reliably triggers the crash.

Environment

Device: iPhone 15 Pro

iOS version: 17.7.2

App version: 12.2.2
